[Infectious disease (such as Avian flu) prevention]
Guards recording the temperature measurement of all admittance (employees, visitors) to the factory in Vietnam. |
A new outbreak of SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) has spread to Vietnam. This coincides with the war in Iraq. We have received reports of the dead and infected.
Our company reacted quickly when faced with such a crisis in mid-March 2003 before it became well-known by the public.
We carried out a temperature measurement of all employees and visitors. We screened all employees and visitors for elevated temperature.
Anyone with a fever above normal was refused entry. We kept all the temperatures on file.
We enacted precautionary measures: mouth wash, respiratory masks, antibacterial soap, clinical thermometers which we imported from Japan.
Through our early response and safety precautions, there have been no reported infections amongst the employees of MTEX.
We place a high value on safety and security so that our partners can confidently rely on MTEX products and services.
Because of the incidences of Avian flu infection, we have begun carrying out temperature screening of all staff that enter the factory.
We have organized a self-defense fire brigade and taken the all possible measures for disaster prevention management.
